Corona's PSBank records from prosecution are 'fake', says witness

PSBank Katipunan branch manager Anabelle Tiongson said records presented by prosecution are 'fake'. PSBank president Pascual Garcia III also testified.

Chief Justice Renato Corona's bank accounts presented by the prosecution team are 'fake', said PSBank Katipunan branch manager Anabelle Tiongson on Monday.

"They are fake documents. These did not come from our bank. They are not replica of genuine documents.", said Tiongson.

Mindoro representative Reynaldo Umali earlier told the impeachment court there was an anonymous lady who handed him Corona's PSBank records, showing an alleged $700,000 worth of value. The prosecution team included the bank account documents in their motion filed to the impeachment court to order subpoena of Corona's bank records.

Umali also told the impeachment court there was a "small lady" who allegedly gave her the envelope outsude the Senate building last week, containing the bank records.

However, Senate sergeant-at-arms said there was no "small lady" found, based on CCTV recordings, according to Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III.

"It does not contain any little ladies giving anything to Representative Umali, from the time he arrived at one o’clock up to the time that he boarded his vehicle," said Sotto.
