Julie Anne San Jose Day: Did it mean to compete with Sarah G. Day?

With pop princess Sarah Geronimo making history as the topic "Sarah G. Day" became the top trending topic worldwide yesterday and (as of this writing) today, "Julie Anne San Jose Day" has also started to dominate the Twitter world.

Julie Anne San Jose is a Kapuso talent who became more popular with her cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" (click here to watch the video). She also appears in GMA 7's Sunday noontime show "Party Pilipinas".

The Twitter world has expressed support for keeping both "Sarah G. Day" and "Julie Anne San Jose Day" topics on top of the trend. Twitter statistics website Twend.it showed as of 9 PM today that "Sarah G. Day" is still the top trending topic worldwide for a total of 6 hours and 15 minutes, with "Julie Anne San Jose Day" coming in at third spot for 3 hours and 15 minutes.

But a lot of netizens (mostly Twitter users who are campaigning for "Sarah G. Day") are saying that Julie Anne San Jose is trying to compete with Sarah Geronimo through these trending topics. Most people are questioning and even raised eyebrows of the "copycat" issue, but Julie Anne's fans have become more lenient and expressed their support in keeping "Julie Anne San Jose Day" topic still alive.

But did "Julie Anne San Jose Day" really mean to compete with "Sarah G. Day"?

The answer is NO.

"Julie Anne San Jose Day" is trending because today is the day Julie Anne signs with GMA Records, and will release her first album pretty soon.
