BOC Commissioner Ruffy Biazon said the Internal Administration Group informed him on Wednesday that Elevado had submitted his resignation.
Elevado was charged for mauling and trying to kill a student last January 21. He was caught on CCTV cameras driving his sports car as it chased a Toyoto Innova sedan driven by a 20-year old male student. Elevado allegedly fired a shot at the student.
Elevado has been facing multiple administrative and criminal cases, including violations of Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and Code of Conduct Standards of Public Officials.
Elevado, who is earning a monthly salary of nearly P10,000, has become a subject of online hatred among netizens.
