Actress Ara Mina has filed libel and grave coercion charges against younger half-sister Cristine Reyes on Wednesday afternoon.
Mina (Hazel Reyes in real life) filed the charges at a Quezon City Prosecutor's Office, where she got emotional following a press interview.
According to her lawyer, Reyes allegedly asked Mina's SUV as payment for her remaining balance for a property, and has been sending denigratory text messages to her older sister:
Kung wala kayo pangbayad, ibigay niyo hinihingi ko.", one of Reyes' message allegedly said.
Mina said she has tried to contact Reyes to talk about and settle the issue, which started on a disagreement on paying for the house they bought for their mother.
She added that she is suing her sister not because of their disagreement, but because she wants her younger sister to learn about her attitude.
Parang wala na siyang sinasanto," Mina said.
