December 24, 2012 is special non-working holiday

December 24, 2012 has been declared as a special non-working day throughout the country.

President Noynoy Aquino and Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. signed Proclamation No. 361, which declared December 24 this year, which falls on Monday, a special non-working day, since it is between December 23, a Sunday, and December 25, Tuesday, Christmas Day, which had long been proclaimed a regular holiday to celebrate Jesus Christ's birthday.

The declaration of December 24, 2012 as a special non-working day will give people full opportunity to celebrate Christmas Day with family and loved ones.
