Under Proclamation 295 signed by President Noynoy Aquino, May 1, 2012, which falls on Tuesday, is a regular holiday in observance of Labor Day.
But Aquino said he is not following Arroyo's Holiday Economics Law. None of the past holidays this year (so far) were moved to a nearest weekend.
Will May 1, 2012, Tuesday, be moved to April 30, a Monday? That is something the Malacañang Palace has still not spoken about yet.
UPDATE: The answer is NO.
Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda tweeted that Monday, April 30, remains a working day and Tuesday, May 1 is a holiday, as it was previously declared in the list of holidays for this year.
