Will May 1, 2012 be moved to April 30 to commemorate Labor Day?

Under Proclamation 295 signed by President Noynoy Aquino, May 1, 2012, which falls on Tuesday, is a regular holiday in observance of Labor Day.

In former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's administration, holidays which fell between Monday and Friday were moved to its nearest day before or after the weekend (Saturday, Sunday) to implement the Holiday Economics Law.

But Aquino said he is not following Arroyo's Holiday Economics Law. None of the past holidays this year (so far) were moved to a nearest weekend.

Will May 1, 2012, Tuesday, be moved to April 30, a Monday? That is something the MalacaƱang Palace has still not spoken about yet.

UPDATE: The answer is NO.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda tweeted that Monday, April 30, remains a working day and Tuesday, May 1 is a holiday, as it was previously declared in the list of holidays for this year.
