After Jessica, another Pinoy-blooded contestant joins new US show

After Jessica Sanchez, who just made history as the first Asian-American of Filipino heritage to reach the American Idol finale, another Pinoy-blooded finalist has shown exceptional talent in singing.

23-year old Jason Farol, a pure-blooded Filipino who is based in Torrance, California, performed in ABC's new singing show titled "Duets." The show, premiered on May 24, 2012, features amateur singers who get the chance to sing with the show's mentor-judges: Idol Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson, R&B singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, soul/R&B musician John Legend, and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles.

Jason has also auditioned in GMA Network's "Starstruck" but unluckily did not make it to the Top 14. Aside from Starstruck, he has also tried his luck in Glee and America's Got Talent.

Will "Duets" be finally his moment? Watch his duet video below of "Breaking Your Own Heart" with Kelly Clarkson.
