A teacher became P136 million richer after winning the Grand Lotto jackpot last Wednesday.
The 55-year old unnamed (for security purposes) public school teacher from Nueva Ecija won the P136,855,753.20 jackpot prize in the Grand Lotto 6/55 drawn last Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
He said he still could not believe he won the jackpot.
The winner, who claimed his prize the next day after the draw at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in Pasay City, placed a Lucky Pick System 7 bet, where the computer randomly picks seven 6-number combinations, worth P140. Luckily indeed, he won the jackpot with the combination 12-8-46-53-41-55.
PCSO General Manager Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II turned over the winner's check and learned that he's been betting for a long time, but only when the jackpot prize gets big.
The winner also said he will help the construction of their barangay's church. He also plans to buy a resthouse in Baguio City, retire soon, and share his blessings by giving out some prize portions to relatives.
