Enrique Razon's Bloombery Resorts Corp says it will hire some 4,500 workers for its new gaming hub Solaire Manila Resort & Casino in Entertainment City, Pasay.
A report in Bloomberg said Bloomberry has already recruited 400 Filipinos working in casinos in Macau and Singapore, but it still needs to fill 150 management posts. A rough estimate of 40,000 Filipinos will be employed in casinos, and will attract a million more tourists per year.
The first phase of the Solaire Manila Resort & Casino will have a 700 room-hotel, three levels of podium that will host ballroom/convention facilities, gaming areas, restaurants, retail shops, and health and wellness facilities. It is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2012 and will open by first quarter next year.
The total cost of investment is expected to reach $1.2 billion. Bloomberry said Solaire Manila will provide a first-glass gaming experience to customers, from mass market to VIPs. The company aims to provide VIP gaming experience at par with international casinos.
