Class suspension on August 10, 2012

Some schools and local government units (LGUs) extended class suspensions due to the effects of hanging habagat that loomed the country this week. Rooms in public elementary and high schools are being used as evacuation centers of families whose homes were devastated by the floods.

The Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) have earlier denied any announcements circulating online about the declaration of suspension of classes from August 7 to 10, 2012.

Only the LGUs and schools listed above have announced suspension of classes tomorrow, August 10.
