Philippines vs Uzbekistan FIBA Asia 2012 (live streaming, results)

PHI 85 - 50 UZB

The Philippine national basketball team Smart Gilas Pilipinas faced Uzbekistan on September 16, Sunday, for the preliminary rounds of the fourth FIBA Asia Cup in Tokyo, Japan, winning a great margin, 85-50.

The game was held at the Ota Gymnasium and was broadcast on AKTV at 1 p.m.

Yesterday, during the team's game against Lebanon, the Gilas went victorious with a 10-point lead, defeating tall Lebanese players, 78-68. This makes the win-loss standing of Gilas to 2-1. The next game will be against Macau (see schedule below).

The Philippine team needs to make the top four in its group to qualify for the knockout stage of the 10-nation event, originally named Stankovic Cup. Last year, the Philippine team placed fourth overall.
