Parañaque City's crooner Jeric Medina got the boot on "The X Factor Philippines" eight elimination night on September 23.
Joining Jeric in the Bottom 2 was the group Daddy's Home, who had been in the bottom group for a couple of times. It was Jeric's first and last time in the Bottom 2.
For the survival round, Jeric sang Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" while Daddy's Home sang Phil Collins' "Against All Odds."
The judges' voting was a deadlock, thus the basis of the elimination was the finalist with the lowest percentage of text and online votes. Judges Gary V and Charice voted for Jeric's ouster, while judges Martin Nievera and Pilita Corales voted against Daddy's Home.
In the end, with Jeric getting 16.74% against Daddy's Home's 19.63%, he went home, leaving only four finalists performing next week.
