"Oros," one of the films that competed in this year's Cinemalaya Film Festival New Breed category, will be shown at the 2012 Asiatica Festival in Rome, Italy.
Directed by Paul Sta. Ana, "Oros" depits the problem of poverty and the conflicting relationships and fragility of the characters. It also maturely tackled death and pornography.
The film's cast include Kapuso artists Kristoffer Martin, Diva Montelaba, and Kim Komatsu, who showed off great performances in the well-researched masterpiece. Martin earned rave reviews from critics for his role in the film as a sakla operator.
Completing the cast are Tanya Gomez, Angelita Raymundo, and Kristoffer King, who was hailed "Best Actor" in the festival's full length category.
"Oros" will start rolling in the Italian theaters October 5.
