A January 27 episode of GMA Network's Sunday noontime variety show "Party Pilipinas" became controversial after a sizzling production number featuring two of its mainstays Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino.
In the number, Lovi was doing a sexy dance as she teases Rocco, who goes out from hiding under a bed sheet and takes his shirt off. Rocco then starts to caress Lovi which was captured by the camera.
The number gained criticism from viewers, questioning why such number was allowed by the production staff.
For others though, it was just OK and only became controversial with the way people thought about the episode, which titled "Ssshhh...Sexier. Hotter."
A report from Balita.net said the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), through its Chairman Atty. Eugenio "Toto" Villareal called for "Party Pilipinas" director Mark Reyes and GMA exec Joey Abacan to explain about the production number.
The report added that the show is in the brink of suspension as majority of the board members of MTRCB said if the management of "Party Pilipinas" fails to explain well the reason for airing of the sexy production number, then the agency may issue a suspension order.
Incidentally, Lovi Poe is the sister of former MTRCB chairman and 2013 Senatoriable Grace Poe to the late Fernando Poe, Jr.
