Legendary PBA import Bobby Parks Sr. passed away on Saturday, March 30, after a long battle of laryngeal cancer. He was 51.
Parks died with his family by his side at San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay City early Saturday afternoon.
Parks won seven Best Import awards and was inducted in PBA's Hall of Fame in 2009. He debuted in the league for the San Miguel Beermen in 1987. The 6'5" Memphis State University varsity also played for the Shell Turbo Charges.
He is the father of reigning UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks Jr. of the National University (NU) Bulldogs.
