10 areas in EDSA to be renovated this weekend


The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said at least 10 sections of Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) will undergo repairs this weekend.

Starting Thursday, April 11, until Monday, April 15, concrete reblocking and repair activities will be conducted in the following areas:

Pasay City
- southbound lane from General Santos Street to Footbridge after Capt. M. Reyes Street
- northbound works from E. Rodriguez Street to Estanislao Street

Mandaluyong City
- improvement works at northbound lane from Reliance Street to Libertad Street
- southbound lane from Boni Avenue to Mayon Street

Makati City
- southbound portion from Guadalupe to Bernardino Street
- northbound lane before Buendia Avenue to Guadalupe Street

Caloocan City
- damaged pavement at the sixth lane of EDSA southbound from after Biglang Awa Street to Mariano Street
- northbound sixth lane near center island infront of Manila Central University Hospital to General Simon Street

Quezon City
- fourth lane of EDSA northbound between North Avenue to Corregidor Road
- fifth lane of EDSA southbound from Oliveros Street to Kaingin Road

More areas to be repaired (not in EDSA):

- second lane southbound of Mindanao Avenue from Road 20 to Road 8
- second lane of Quirino Highway northbound from Mater Carmeli School to Sacred Heart Novitiate and third lane southbound from Regalado North Avenue to Belfast Street
- third lane of North Avenue infront of SM North-The Block and second lane infront of SM North Main Building, and North Avenue near Trinoma Mall crossing Mindanao Avenue, and North Avenue

The DPWH appealed to motorists and the public for patience while these activities are being conducted.
