Two youths were killed after their speeding motorcycle smahed into a bus in Commonwealth, Quezon City past midnight Wednesday.
The victims, identified as Mamerto Balgos IV, 19, and Christopher Villablance, 20, both residents of Bituan Compound, died on the spot near the Commission on Audit building in Commonwealth Avenue.
Authorities said the motorcycle smashed into the rear of Fairview-bound Precious Grace Transport bus, which had just stopped to load passengers.
The noise prompted the bus conductor to get off the bus and check what happened. Police said the two men were discovered bloodied under the bus as the front of the motorcycle was crushed due to the heavy impact.
Witnesses said the motorcycle was speeding and that the youths had no protective helmets on.
