Anna Kendrick, star of the hit musical comedy film "Pitch Perfect," appears in the music video of "Cups," which was based on the film's soundtrack "When I'm Gone."
The song became such a hit, probably the reason why they made a music video for it.
In the Philippines, the movie was shown in select theaters October last year. Although it did not create much buzz then, "Pitch Perfect" eventually became popular to teenagers and students and became the inspiration of many performances on television and other events.
The flick is set in the middle of a war between rival a cappella groups and centered on a rebellious girl Becca (played by Anna Kendrick) who joins one of the groups as an escape from her unhappy life at school.
The film received generally positive reviews and did very well in the box-office, accumulating more than $112 million with only a $17 million production budget.
