Boston Marathon explosions kill 3, injure more than 100

Three were killed while more than 100 people were injured after explosions rocked at the Boston Marathon on April 15 in Massachusetts, USA.

A bomb apparently placed in a garbage can exploded around 2:50 p.m. amid a crowd of spectators on Boylston Street in the heart of the city. A few seconds later, another bomb exploded 550 feet away.

One of the casualties is reportedly an 8-year-old child.

Pandemonium erupted as runners and spectators panicked and scattered. Officials say the bombings are potential terrorist plot.
