(2nd UPDATE) An earthquake was felt in several areas in Metro Manila on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at around 10:27 a.m.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded the quake with a magnitude of 5.4 in the Richter Scale.
The epicenter was located about 17 km northeast of Baler, Aurora. The origin was tectonic and has a depth of 5 km.
In Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Taguig City, Pasay City, and Antipolo City, the intensity was recorded at magnitude 3.
Intensity 2 meanwhile was felt in Manila, Malolos, Bulacan, and Clemente, Tarlac.
Some Twitter users said the quake was felt as well in provinces such as Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan.
