Magallanes flyover southbound lane closed from Aug. 8-17

The southbound lane of Magallanes interchange in Makati City will be closed for repairs starting August 8 until August 17.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that the part of the flyover going to Alabang will be closed in line with the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) Magallanes Interchange Rehabilitation Project.

"All affected vehicles are advised to take the service road. Sorry for the inconvenience," it said.

The DPWH did not provide detailed alternative routes for motorists but only advised those going to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Alabang to take the Osmeña Highway-Magallanes Service Road.

A report from gov.ph said works on Magallanes Interchange will begin 10 p.m. this Friday (August 8) for the repair and strengthening of structural component of the flyover including asphalting activities to improve road pavement surface.

DPWH has until February 28, 2015, to complete the rehabilitation of the Magallanes Interchange.
