A fetus "formed with organs like those of a baby" was removed from the stomach of a 15-year-old Malaysian teenager, a report from Bernama said.
The teenager, named Mohd Zul Shahril Saidin had lived with the twin in his stomach his whole life, but went to the hospital after complaining of pain.
His mother, Hasmah Ahmad, said she accepted her son's fate if the tumor was really his twin.
The fetus was said to have hair and legs, as well as hands and genitals. Only the nose and mouth were not complete.
The rare condition is called "foetus-in-fetu" which occurs when one half of a twin forms in the body of another. It occurs only in 1 out of 500,000 births.
Funeral rites had been performed on the fetus and it was buried at a local cemetery.
Malaysia's health department refused to comment on the case.
