Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna: In A Relationship

As confirmed in Ricky Lo's Philstar column Funfare, veteran comedian and TV host Vic Sotto is now in a relationship with co-Eat Bulaga! host and actress Pauleen Luna.

That's a gap of thirty-four (34) years, with Vic Sotto, also known as "Bossing" aged 57 and Pauleen aged 23.

Ricky Lo stated:

Yes, they are "officially" an item as confirmed to Funfare by somebody close to them, that’s why you must have noticed some very subtle sweetness in the way they treat each other on Eat, Bulaga! where Vic is “bossing” and Pauleen now the show’s new “first lady,” replacing Vic’s ex-girlfriend Pia Guanio who is now happily married to Steve Mago.

But as the old line goes, "age doesn't matter". We can't resist what the heart tells us to do. And I think Bossing and Pauleen already know how to handle what this latest buzz is bringing them.

People behind the most popular social networking site Facebook were eying on our status updates. They tracked the trends among the users' status updates and collated this year's Facebook Memology, which reveals 2011's most popular status trends.

Facebook Memology started in 2009 and since then, it has helped users understand the most-popular topics, cultural trends and acronyms on the site.


"While it takes days of painstaking work to compile the data, it’s a rare chance to get an insight into what the world is talking about," data scientist Eytan Bakshy told Mashable.

Nicole Lynn Miss Earth USA Racist Facebook Comments

Miss Earth candidate Nicole Lynn's Facebook comment outraged a lot of Filipinos all over the world. Racist? Check out below screenshot via All Over The News.

In her Facebook Wall says:

"I hardly made it to Manila and we already attended a ridiculous tv show. So annoying!!! These people want to touch you and be with you all the time!! I can’t understand a word they say. I can’t wait to go back home. This country is so dirty and noisy. I’m scared to eat!!! What a mess. On a lighter note I don’t see any real competition. Will keep you updated my loves."

It was Friday when candidates of Miss Earth, including Miss USA Nicole Lynn guested in Willie Revillame's TV5 program Will Time Big Time. Hours later, she posted her comment about the Philippines and the Filipino people.


According to Nicole, her Facebook was hacked and she was not the one who posted the remarks. The post was immediately deleted upon learning it. Fake? Watch her statement below.





If she really was the one who posted these racist comments about the Filipinos, then she must really be sorry. Fellow Pinoys, you know what to do.

Ryan Gosling surfing in Siargao

Canadian actor Ryan Gosling became a trending topic on Twitter December 6th after several personalities tweeted about the actor surfing in Siargao - 800km southeast of Surigao del Norte.

Gosling was known for his roles in films like The Notebook, Half Nelson, Blue Valentine, Drive, and The Ides of March.

Well until someone posts a picture of him, then this will still remain a rumor.

The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra First Episode Leak

The Nickelodeon hit Avatar: The Legend of Aang is back! Yes it's back - with a sequel.

The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra (originally titled Avatar: The Legend of Korra) is the upcoming animated series from Nick which will be aired in mid-2012. I'm excited for this! The Legend of Aang is one of the most amazing animated series ever made! Well, forget the film adaptation. :P


As a synopsis:

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang — a passionate, rebellious, and fearless teenaged girl from the Southern Water Tribe named Korra. With three of the four elements under her belt (Earth, Water, and Fire), Korra seeks to master the final element, Air. Her quest leads her to the epicenter of the modern “Avatar” world, Republic City, a virtual melting pot where benders and non-benders from all nations live and thrive. However, Korra discovers that Republic City is plagued by crime as well as a growing anti-bending revolution that threatens to rip it apart.

And the characters:

Korra (Janet Varney, Cora Baker in a flashback) is the main character of the series and the next Avatar, after Aang. She is a hotheaded teenager from the Southern Water Tribe, described as "ready to take on the world". Before the beginning of the series, she has already mastered Waterbending, Earthbending, and Firebending, and must learn Airbending from Tenzin, Aang and Katara's youngest son. Korra has a polar bear dog named Naga as her animal guide

Mako (David Faustino) is a firebender and one of Korra's friends. He is described as "dark and brooding", and participates in pro-bending with his younger brother Bolin. He is named after the late Mako Iwamatsu, who provided the voice of Iroh in the original series.

Bolin (P.J. Byrne) is another of Korra's friends, an earthbender, and Mako's younger brother. In contrast to Mako, Bolin is often light-hearted and humorous. He participates in pro-bending, the most popular sport in Republic City. Bolin has a pet Fire Ferret named Pabu.

Tenzin (J. K. Simmons) is Korra's airbending master. He is the youngest of Aang and Katara's three children, and the only one that is an airbender. He has three children himself that are all airbenders, with a fourth on the way.

Jinora (Kiernan Shipka) is Tenzin's eldest daughter, an airbender, and an avid reader. Ikki is Tenzin's youngest daughter, second child, and described as "fun, crazy, and a fast talker".

Ikki is also an airbender.

Meelo is Tenzin's only son and the youngest of his three children. Meelo resembles Aang (his grandfather) and is described as erratic or active, in contrast to his solemn father. Like his sisters, Meelo is an airbender.

Pema is Tenzin's wife, a non-bender, and the mother of Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo. She is currently pregnant with her fourth child.

Oman is a mysterious masked man who leads "the Equalists", an anti-bending organization which uses chi-blocking skills to subdue their foes. He has been confirmed as the major antagonist of the series.

Chief Bei Fong is Toph Bei Fong's daughter and head of the Republic City police. The police use metalbending to subdue criminals, taught to them by Toph herself.

Naga (Dee Bradley Baker) is Korra's female Polar Bear Dog and animal guide.

Pabu (Dee Bradley Baker) is Bolin's black-footed red panda ferret (Fire Ferret).

RJ Rosales passes away

Former ABS-CBN talent RJ Rosales passed away December 4, 2011 in Sydney, Australia.

The Fil-Australian singer/performer's family kept mum of the details of RJ's death, and asked for privacy as they mourn a loss of loved one.

RJ (born Roseo José Rosales), 37, was born in Manila, and his family migrated to Sydney, Australia when he was thirteen. He finished a BS Mathematics degree from the University of Western Sydney and worked as a banker before entering show business.

His biggest break was being part of the ensemble cast in Miss Saigon in 1996. He also appeared in musicals and TV shows in Singapore. He was an ASAP mainstay from 2001-2004 and also appeared in shows like Attagirl, Da Pilya n Da Pilot, and Sa Puso Ko Iingatan Ka.

Quartet singing group "Lovesome Foursome" So Wat and "Soul Heartthrob" Kenneth Monico were booted out in Protege: The Battle for the Big Break on Sunday, December 4, 2011.

The two received the lowest combined judges' and text votes after singing Katy Perry's Firework and Lady Gaga's Edge of Glory respectively on the performance night themed "Dance Hits Remixed".

Only five Proteges remain and they will battle it out for their biggest break as the new Protege champ will emerge two weeks from now.
